In a society driven by compassion and empathy, donations play a pivotal role in uplifting lives and fostering positive change. Defined as voluntary acts of giving, donations encompass a wide range of contributions, from financial assistance to tangible resources and personal time. The significance of donations in society cannot be overstated, as they serve as a beacon of hope, igniting transformation both at an individual level and within communities as a whole.
“Delve into the transformative power of clean water with Amigos Internacionales. From combating waterborne diseases to heartwarming stories of communities uplifted, discover how a simple drop can change the world.”
Water is life. This phrase, while simple, encapsulates a profound truth that many of us take for granted. For millions globally, access to clean, safe drinking water remains a daily struggle. At Amigos Internacionales, we’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of providing communities with this basic necessity. In this blog, we delve into the direct benefits of clean water and share heartwarming stories from the field.
Child sex trafficking is a pervasive and complex issue requiring a multifaceted approach. While rescuing and rehabilitating survivors is essential, prevention and education are also crucial in the fight against trafficking. By empowering communities to recognize and stop trafficking before it happens, we can help build a culture of protection for vulnerable children.
When we think of child sex trafficking, it’s easy to get lost in the statistics and the horror of it all. But it’s important to remember that behind each number is a real child whose life has been forever changed by exploitation.
Fortunately, there are organizations like Amigos Internacionales who are dedicated to helping survivors of child sex trafficking recover and rebuild their lives. By providing essential support services and resources, they are helping survivors heal from their trauma and build a brighter future.
As we continue our series on “Rescuing Innocence: The Fight Against Child Sex Trafficking,” we must address one of the most insidious factors that contribute to this heinous crime: poverty.
It’s a tragic truth that poverty and child sex trafficking are intrinsically linked. Families who are struggling to make ends meet may be more vulnerable to the false promises of traffickers who offer education or job opportunities for their children.
Poverty is a main contributing factor to child sex trafficking, as it creates vulnerability and desperation that traffickers exploit for their own gain. This connection between poverty and trafficking highlights the need for comprehensive solutions addressing poverty’s root causes and associated risks.
In the next few weeks, I will be exploring the world of sex trafficking and exploitation in the world and in particular Uganda
The Fight Against Child Sex Trafficking
In the next few weeks, I will be exploring the world of sex trafficking and exploitation in the world and in particular Uganda. Amigos Internacionales is preparing to take on this challenge by providing a facility that is unlike any in the world. This state-of-the-art complex will not only rescue the children from the worst scenarios mankind can ever imagine, but provide counseling, social services help, education, and a play area that only a select few of the children in Uganda could expect to experience.
I watched with interest at the opening to the Supreme Court nominations and clearly saw what obviously became a planned effort to put a face with a cause. Democrats (right or wrong) and we all have opinions, spent a great deal of my tax money on extremely large portrait pictures on people that were affected by health issues. Well, not wanting to be outdone, I decided to put up my own picture for my cause. I only wish I had tax money freely at my disposal to pay for supersizing it and placing it in the Senate hearing hall. And here it is….
27 weeks old…hanging onto life and surviving! What a hero!
Let me introduce you to him….He was born in September at 27 weeks. If it weren’t for the heroic actions of the Natal NICU unit at the hospital he was born at, his life and the life of his mom, may have been lost. Why is this so significant to me? The details are this…we heard over and over again that the pictures from the Senators had little chance of survival if the Affordable Healthcare Act went away….and that may be so….however, I would like to point out that due to these same Senators hundreds of thousands of people will not have the opportunity to have any health care because of their policies. You say, please explain…based on the Lozier Institute written in January 2015, entitled “The Reality of Late-Term Abortion Procedures”, this little one in the picture above could have been subject to a procedure that to quote the article is a “dilation and evacuation”. In other words, “gruesome surgical techniques involving crushing, dismemberment and removal of a fetal body…weeks before or even after the fetus reaches a developmental age of potential viability outside the mother.” Wow, pretty harsh…even with the Affordable Care Act in place, I’m not sure that anyone that has “dismemberment and removal” could get health care in that state. Many of these children involve “an administration of a lethal injection into the fetal heart in utero to ensure the fetus is not pulled out alive or with the ability to survive.” At yet these same Senators fight tooth and nail to overturn the death penalty by lethal injection. How does this make sense?
So, as you watch the Supreme Court Selection proceedings and you see the pictures behind the Senators and speak of the people that may lose their health care…Please remember this little one and the hundreds and thousands of others that will not get the chance to purchase healthcare of any type…and remember those Senators and the hypocrisy that is evident in every word they say….
The good news? This little one just celebrated his third birthday and played his first 4 and Under Soccer game. He is full of life and hopefully will get the opportunity to purchase healthcare…which I’m sure will make those Senators sleep well.
When you’re satisfied and have everything you need, it’s easy to forget the fact that other people struggle to get just what is enough for them, but there’s a great inequality in our world.
Other people in other places, especially in developing
countries struggle with many problems. These include a lack of basic things
such as food, education, medicine, clean water, clothing, housing, and many
other things.
Children from the village watch as the drilling rig drills for fresh, clean, disease free water!
Here at Amigos, we are currently rallying the world for support and aid to people in some of the world’s most affected communities. There are many children facing staggering challenges in most parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, some parts of Asia, Latin America, and many other places.
By coming together we can make a difference and bring relief to these people. We are sponsoring orphan children in Uganda, digging wells for clean water, and doing all we can to help reduce the problem with hunger in rural Uganda and Guatemala.
Hunger is a complex issue
No one can thrive on an empty stomach.
This monster problem is a complex one. It respects no place, no, and touches many communities in the world. Along with adults, many children and infants go for days in Africa, Asia, Latin America, malnourished, and on many day are having to live on empty stomachs.
When you consider that this will greatly stunt their growth
and development, affect their cognitive ability, and their physical and mental
health as well, then you’ll understand how big of a problem this can actually
be.

Working Together to Fight Hunger
But we can do our best to save the world from hunger.
With God by our side, and with the support of caring hearts, we can make a difference and put a smile on the faces of hungry people around the world. And because we can only take one step at a time, we are starting from Uganda and Guatemala, two of the worst affected areas around the world.
Amigos has always been about making the world a better place
that works for people, even those who may have been put at a disadvantage due
to political and economic reasons.
Since 1967, we have made it our objective to ensure the
provision of basic human needs for people in global disasters and crisis
situations. We have come a long way since then.
Amigos have served different people groups in 21 different countries around the world.
Our mission to end the world’s hunger problem has seen us feeding about 21,000 children each day in orphanages around the world. On an average, we provide about 7,500,000 million meals every year for people in need.

We are looking to God and His people to help us do more. With your help and support, we’ll be able to extend our reach and break new grounds. Every penny that goes into our donation ends up helping a real person facing a big challenge. So you know that your kind gesture will go a long way to make the world a better place.
